A Lifed Lived As If In Hell

by 156

supported by
Sad A 14:12
Sad B 13:09

Recorded in Brooklyn and Manhattan (New York City), April 2012 - June 2012 (with the exception of the cult therapy sample on "Sad A"; Miami, 2002).
Released as a cassette tape on Texas' Out of Body Records, in 2013, it was limited to 100 copies.
Returning to the cut-n-paste long-plays of the "Frontyard / Backyard" EP, this release sees a dark departure into sound. "Sad A" is purposefully meant to convey the experience of psychological torture, while "Sad B" is a panicked sadness fighting cold loneliness in a crowd.

156 is a collective musical project conducted by Adel Souto, and blends the likes of Einstürzende Neubauten, Test Dept, Z’EV and Crash Worship, often being described as a drum circle in a rusty junkyard. Having tribal elements, the music can often be used in shamanistic practices, as it comes from the soul, and is meditation music for metalheads. ... more
